Book Review

Zeppo was a retired clown who was hired at a zoo to take care of the elephants. Soon, a baby elephant was born named Ella. Zeppo loved Ella a great deal and dressed her up in pretty clothes to show her off to everyone. All who knew her adored Ella. She wore pink make-up, and that is how she became Ella the Pink Elephant.

As Ella grew older, she noticed she was not the same cute elephant that people were excited to see. She noticed physical changes and wondered why people would like her now. Ella does some inner searching and soon realized what makes someone special.

Ella the Pink Elephant is such a sweet story. My 8-year-old daughter loved reading about Ella and the changes she went through. This is both an entertaining book for kids and an educational one. There is a fantastic lesson to be learned here.

My niece would love this - she adores any books with elephants as the characters. :) Thanks for the book review.
