My Review

I found this book to be a phenomenal read and I don't throw that word around often. First, I knew Miller was an outstanding writer within the first few pages of Heliotrope. This always excites a book nerd like myself. The plot is deep and complex. We meet Kit who I found to be a very likeable character. She is swept away by her professor, Jonathan, who comes to this story with overflowing baggage. Heliotrope is much more than a drama between a man and a woman. It's a coming of age tale in a variety of ways. We see more than one character face their crap and work on their personal transformation. I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars.
