Book Review: A Love Story in Three Parts By Hannah Seevers

A Love Story in Three Parts
By Hannah Seevers
Genre: Romance, Literary Fiction

Synopsis

Justine Holland is living quite a normal life (thank you very much). She's a successful artist, upper middle class, pregnant with baby number one, and twenty-seven. But her cozy life is turned on its head when her husband, Sean, finally realizes what everyone else already has- he's actually in love with his best college mate, Gabriel. Even though everyone says she's nuts, Justine decides that having the enigmatic Czech man around might not be such a bad idea. Who knows? All she does know is that losing either of them isn't an option. Break all the rules, shatter all the traditions. Will it be perfect? Or a perfect disaster...

My Review

A Love Story in Three Parts was a really interesting read. It wasn’t the usual romance story with the heterosexual couple and their miscellaneous issues. Instead, we are introduced to three characters and their passionate connection with each other.

Justine and Sean are married, but then we have Gabriel who is a very close friend - actually more like family. A love triangle ensues, but one with consent, care, and consideration for each partner involved.

I appreciated the way in which this story portrayed polygamy and creating a family within this lifestyle. While some may not be able to understand what it would be like to be a polygamist, I find A Love Story in Three Parts can be a relatable story to most people because the author shows the fears and vulnerability within
the characters; something we all face in intimate relationships.

I highly recommend this book to romance and literary fiction fans with an open mind.
