By Diana Green
Genre: Fantasy Romance
Tobias is a fox-shifter, stolen in childhood from his home-world. Now he works as an agent for the secretive and powerful sentinels, trying to bring an end to the interworld slave trade.
Etty is a street-smart spitfire from the wrong side of the tracks. She harbors untrained magical abilities and a deep longing for a better life. Can she channel these into working as Tobias’ assistant?
Will they survive a life-changing mission where love and danger are only a heartbeat away, and the fate of rift worlds hangs in the balance?
Diana Green has created an incredibly cool world with various shape-shifters. I was quickly pulled into the setting with the dialogue - enjoying the accents of the characters. Protagonists Tobias and Etty meet by chance and swiftly become a working duo. While Tobias works on secret missions, Etty serves as his assistant.
Etty is my favorite character. I love a hard-working, smart, and witty female role. Etty is just that. I also appreciate how the author builds the relationship between the two and they aren't just thrown together right off the bat in a hot love. It feels so much better when there is a solid plot, and steady move to that point. Bronze Fox gives you fantasy and romance rolled into one great book!
