Mac thought she’d seen everything that death had to offer, but she was wrong. What started out as a simple mission will quickly become the most desperate fight for survival she’s ever faced. There’s only one thing that she’s sure of: not everyone is getting out alive.

My Review
Without a doubt, this is my favorite book by Matt Drabble. I think I say this every time I review on of his books which just means that his writing is becoming more and more phenomenal with each release.
The Last Resort is oozing with suspense. The story is thick with characters that you either love or hate and a never ending plot that doesn't disappoint. You can't help but admire Mac, who is the toughest literary female I have read. Loyalty runs through her veins. My second favorite character is Tank. Bless his enormous soul. He will pull at your heart strings.
We have an island overrun with a deadly virus, allowing the undead to run rampant. Mac and her elite military team are hired to see what is going on with the people at this remote location. What seems like a cut and dry mission ends up being a ravenous fight for their lives.
Matt Drabble gives us horror, chills, and plenty of thrills. Easily a 5 star read!
